Calgary's first ukrainian festival!Now that things have settled down from the spring concert & Tryzub festival, there is one last thing on the year's agenda - Calgary's first ukrainian festival! I know you've all had it written on your calendars and are wondering what has been happening...
Festival Details: May 29-30, 2010 Triwood Community Centre, 2244 Chicoutimi Dr.N.W. Festival tickets $5 each Children under 5 FREE http://www.calgaryukrainianfestival.ca Yalenka will be dancing at the following time slots:Saturday May 29 3pm time slot
Malenki Zirky - Hutzulyta
Kvitka - Vesnianka
Veselka Mixed Med Group - Bukovynnain Dance
Saturday 29, 2010 4:30 time slot
Logan S. - Sailor's Dance
Sunday May 30, 2010 3pm slot
Veselka Girls Med Group - Neshymy Kalynon'Ko
Promin - Hutzul Polonina
Sonechko - Polissian Dance
Central Solo - Parker Young
Even though we know our dancers are amazing, we definitely need a rehearsal before to make sure we remember all our dances! Natasha has requested a rehearsal at the ballet school (our usual rehearsal studios) on Tuesday, May 25th at the following times:
7:00 to 7:30 Malenki Zirky and Promin
7:30 to 8:15 Sonechko and Kvitka
8:15 to 9:00 Veselka
(note: iskra & radist are not performing at this festival)
We are having a booth promoting Yalenka at this festival & need volunteers to help out (volunteer hours, anyone?) - please email marscain@shaw.ca if you can help out.

Parents and friends. We need volunteers for the Calgary Ukrianian Festival. The festival committee is requesting that each organization assist in recruiting volunteers. We will need over 100 of them to ensure the success of the festival. Please designate someone within your organization to assist with finding volunteers using the attached volunteer sign up sheet.
