Yalenka’s annual Storyline sets our school apart from our cultural cohorts.
A unique production created each year, rehearsed throughout the dance season and showcased at our final recital. The Storyline encompasses the entire first act of our recital and involves the whole school, from our youngest dancers to our adult group.
Our Artistic Director’s vision combined with her creative and choreographic talent allows us to share our folklore and heritage, making it a memorable experience for dancers and audiences alike.
Through dance we explore and interpret Ukrainian traditions and folklore, such as retelling and re-imagining folktales from various regions of Ukraine and presenting the customs and rituals of seasons of the year.
